Established in 1947, the National Association of Local Councils is the only national body representing the interests of 10,000 local councils and 80,000 councillors.
NALC works in partnership with county associations (such as ChALC) to support, promote and improve local councils.
NALC has its own website which also has a members only area. If you are a member of ChALC and do not have your NALC logon details then contact Hazel Merrill at ChALC and she will provide them for you.
NALC also produces the only journal for town and parish councils which can be purchased direct from NALC or through ChALC. Details of the LCR (Local Council Review) can be found here.
