Local Council responses to COVID-19

Councils meeting the Pandemic Challenge in 2020

By mid-March 2020 the emerging impact of Covid-19 was starting to be felt across the Cheshire, Halton, Warrington and Trafford areas and many Town and Parish Councils (local councils) subsequently took actions to support their local communities. ChALC wanted to capture these innovative activities and in the summer of 2020 asked local councils to share their stories. This resulted in a short report that summarised the responses and highlighted 5 case studies. Download a copy of the report.

Following a successful funding bid in September 2020, ChALC was then able to commission local company ThenMedia to produce some short films. In October 2020 ChALC caught up with some local councils to see how they had responded to the challenge of COVID-19. This resulted in three short films which you can now view below.

Impact of Covid on Council Business
