KOMPAN have been busy in Cheshire!

Millie and the team have recently completed
many projects around Cheshire, designing site refurbishments, installing
completely new playgrounds and fitness areas, repairing existing equipment and
replacing equipment.

To name just a few, we have…

  • A new four tower Toddler Multi unit and 2 sensory play panels installed in Comberbach.
  • A HUGE new area of colourful wet pour for new and existing equipment, surfacing graphics, a very popular 3D Bee and 8 pieces of new equipment for a site transformation in Haslington. My personal favourite piece here is the fully supportive Inclusive swing seat, a real talking point for the local community!
  • A new Toddler play area in Congleton.

Coming up this summer…

  • Inclusive Playground additions at Arnold Rhodes in Disley
  • A GIANT tower 8.9 metres tall in Macclesfield
  • Outdoor Fitness Equipment in Congleton
  • A new Seesaw in Bosley

Millie is based in Cheshire, and available for site visits upon request. We offer no-commitment site visits, site designs and quotations, funding application support and play and fitness industry knowledge. We also have an on-the-road Inspections and Maintenance team to support with existing equipment, and it doesn’t have to be KOMPAN brand!

The Repair Shop On The Road – looking for meaningful community items

They are searching for items that represent a shared local story, objects that hold significance not just for an individual, but for a wider community. These might include historic items linked to your town or parish, pieces from village  halls, theatres or sports clubs, or objects tied to local industries, traditions or heritage. They are  particularly keen to hear about items that have been widely recognised or used within the community, carry stories across generations, and are now in need of specialist repair to bring them back to life.  If your community has an item that fits this brief, they’d love to hear from you. Please email: repair@ricochet.co.uk (Include a brief description, photos, and why the item matters to your community)

West Cheshire Town and Parish Council Conference 2026

The date has now been confirmed as Wednesday 17th June and the conference will take place from 4pm to 6.30pm at Hartford Golf Club in Northwich.  All West Cheshire councils have been sent invitations to the conference, and must RSVP the ChALC Team if they wish to attend.

ChALC Membership and Annual Meeting Motions

Invoices and member agreement forms have been sent out for financial year 2026-2027 in April.  Clerks and Councils are asked to make prompt payment of your affiliation fee, which helps ChALC with managing our finances, and to ensure that the Member Agreement Form is completed, signed and returned to the office to ensure we have accurate up-to-date information and permissions.

ChALC members are also reminded that they are now able to submit motions for consideration at this year's Annual Meeting in October. Guidance and the motion submission form are on the webpage HERE . The deadline for submission is Friday 10th July 2026 and members must have paid their affiliation fee no later than 1st July to be eligible to submit.

Martyn's Law (Terrorism Protection of Premises Act)

Martyn's Law legally commences from April 2027. The Home Office has made a number of products available for councils and others to use to help you to prepare to protect.
