STAFFORDSHIRE PARISH COUNCILS ASSOCIATION

Health & Wellbeing Project Officer
25 hours per week – fixed term contact to 31.3.2026
£27,344-£30,151 (pro-rata)
This project seeks to build capacity and provide support to parish and town councils across Staffordshire to encourage prevention, strengthen communities and create sustainability in improving health and wellbeing in the communities around the county. The project involves working with parish and town councils to influence and encourage the development of health and wellbeing policy and activity in these communities. Mixture of home/remote and office-based work, including travel around Staffordshire (and some out-of-hours commitments). CREWE TOWN COUNCIL (2)

Town Clerk of Crewe
Salary Scale: £59,300 to £65,943 (Scale point 48 – 52)
Crewe Town Council is looking for its next Town Clerk. The council is one of the largest parish authorities in the country and has developed a range of services that include public realm maintenance, place making, events, culture, public art, community development, commissioned services, play area maintenance as well as traditional services associated with allotments and asset management. We are seeking an experienced, professional and forward-thinking leader to support the council in delivery of its strategic goals, growing its influence locally and regionally and serving the community of Crewe. Interim Community Officer
Crewe Town Council is seeking an interim Community Officer to maintain the day-to-day functions of the community services delivered by the council during an interim period.
It is anticipated that the role will be based on 2 (or maybe 3) days a week and will focus on:

  • To keep all the plates spinning by administering the emails associated and maintaining contact with key community partners and projects
  • Administering the Community Committee and monitoring the delivery of its work
  • Administrating grant application, awards, agreements and communications
  • Supporting the White Ribbon activities that the council has instigated, which are led now by an external partner with involvement of the council
  • Administration of and supporting the Community Strategy project, which is to develop a new community strategy for Crewe by appointing a suitably experienced and skilled organisation to carry out the research, engagement, consultation, collating findings and drafting conclusions.
  • Administration and communication relating to ongoing Service Level Agreements and Data Protection Agreements
  • Supporting the preparation for the Remembrance services and the Tree of Light service.

BRADWALL PARISH COUNCIL

Part-time Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer
Starting salary of £1560 per annum – to cover 104 hours per year, spread out flexibly throughout the year as demand requires (£15.00/hr)
The successful candidate will work from home and attend evening meetings every two months. The role is responsible for ensuring the correct running of the council and its financial affairs. A basic understanding of accountancy is required, keeping a balance sheet, reclaiming VAT, etc. Full training regarding the roles and responsibilities of the Clerk/RFO can be given.
