KNUTSFORD TOWN COUNCIL, Cheshire East 

Town Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer[
£58,523 – £62,852 (SCP 46-49)
Full Time (37hrs) including evening meetings ]

Knutsford Town Council is seeking a new Town Clerk and RFO.

At the core of the role, you will ensure the council is well managed, overseeing the delivery of the council’s services and working with the council and other staff to deliver continual improvement in service delivery. You will be responsible for the delivery of the council’s strategic plan, working with members to develop annual action plans and ensuring their completion.

You will lead the council’s staffing team, ensuring staff are well managed and motivated and that the council’s obligations as an employer are met. This will include line management responsibilities for the management team. As Responsible Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the council’s finances, ensuring effective accounting systems are in place, that procurement requirements are met and monitoring and drafting budgets.

Overall, you will strive to ensure Knutsford Town Council can best serve its residents and to make Knutsford the best it can be.

MIDDLEWICH TOWN COUNCIL, Cheshire East

Town Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer

37 hours per week, including some evenings and occasional weekends

Salary Scale: NJC Scale LC3, Pay Award pending

You will provide strategic leadership, governance oversight and financial stewardship. As Proper Officer you will be principal advisor to elected Members and Responsible Financial Officer for overseeing finances and audit. You will lead on governance, compliance and organisational management, ensuring the Council operates lawfully and effectively. If you want to help our forward-thinking Council to develop and deliver timely, quality, and innovative services to the local community whilst engaging with residents and stakeholders, we want to hear from you.

Deputy Town Clerk

30 hours per week, including some evenings and occasional weekends

Salary Scale:   NJC Scale LC2 Pay Award pending

FRODSHAM TOWN COUNCIL, Cheshire West

Cemetery Clerk and General Administrative Officer

15 – 20 hours per week (flexible) 

Salary:  SCP 13–17 (depending on qualifications and experience)

Frodsham Town Council is looking to recruit an organised, enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our small and friendly team as Cemetery Clerk and General Administrative Officer.  This varied role includes administering the Town Council's cemetery, maintaining statutory burial records, supporting the Town Clerk with financial administration, updating Council noticeboards and assisting with maintaining the Council's website.

Previous experience in local government, cemetery administration, Rialtas or Epitaph software would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided.

Community Maintenance Team Operative 

37 hours per week

Salary Range: £13.45 per hour

BARNTON PARISH COUNCIL, Cheshire West

Cemetery Clerk

8 hours per week

Salary Range:  NJC SCP 13–17 (£15.06 – £16.08 per hour)

Barnton Parish Council is seeking to appoint a Cemetery Clerk to manage all administrative and statutory functions relating to Barnton Cemetery. This is a key role requiring accuracy, compassion, professionalism, and the ability to work independently.
The post is office-based on Fridays, with flexibility to work from the cemetery site or the office at other times as required.
